Biography

Hallett J. “Bud” Harris is Professor Emeritus, University of Wisconsin Green Bay. After receiving a BS from Coe College, he graduated with a MS and PhD from Iowa State University and joined the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay in 1969, retiring in 1999.  At UWGB, Harris taught undergraduate ecology and graduate courses in wetland ecology and ecosystem management. He and his students carried out research in coastal wetlands of Green Bay as part of the Wisconsin Sea Grant Green Bay Subprogram which he coordinated for eight years. Subsequently he served as ‘on site coordinator’ of the USEPA PCB Mass Balance Study. Harris presently serves in a science advisory capacity for four environmental organizations.
