Class Reunion

the men are all heavier and balder
women more carefully made up
on the dance floor the still-dyed blonde
who left her husband at home
snakes her arms around the neck
of her high school crush
as she whispers in his ear
reminding him of the weekend
they made the school gossip news
when her parents were out of town
his ears are bright red as he leans away
glancing toward his pregnant wife
watching with her friends along the wall
