Keeping College Accessible: Charting a New Course for Higher Education

Gary Rhoades, Professor of Higher Education at the University of Arizona, shares a seasoned, national perspective on the rapidly changing landscape of higher education. Rhoades focuses on state policy models that are emerging nationally and the extent to which these models are addressing fundamental challenges in the areas of college affordability, educational quality and social stratification. Rhoades explores current patterns in state policy and in the paths of higher education institutions, and he’ll make suggestions for charting a new course. Recorded on February 21, 2012, at the MMoCA Lecture Hall in Overture Center, this Academy Evening talk is presented in partnership with the Wisconsin Alumni Association.
