• Catie DeMets works to grow vibrant food systems and communities in collaboration with organizations across the US. She earned an MS in environmental studies from the University of Montana and a BA in geology and environmental studies at Lawrence University, where Marcia Bjornerud instilled a lasting philosophy of timefulness and geologic awe. She was formerly the Wisconsin Academy’s Climate & Energy Initiative director and coordinator.
