Chrissy Widmayer

Chrissy Widmayer is the historical communications specialist at the Wisconsin Academy through the UW-Madison's Center for Humanities' Mellon Public Humanities Fellowship, Chrissy is also a PhD candidate in Folklore Studies. She has an MFA in Creative Writing from George Mason university, and an MA in Folklore from UW-Madison. Her academic research explores how food traditions and storytelling creates intimacy in small groups, especially within her own family.
